Wow. When was the last time a friend shared a video with you that you never forgot? This video is one of those! It's one of the most powerful videos I have seen. Maybe you can guess why! There are so many coaching lessons in this father & son team (a.k.a. Team Hoyt) example. Words that describe how this video touches my heart are hard to find... How about you?
Zig is a fantastic motivation whiz! I've enjoyed studying his work and learning from a man who puts integrity at the top of his list. He takes the approach that everyone can be a winner and I totally agree!! Being a winner is not a matter of luck. When we were kids we might have had a concept of winning that could be counted in gumballs or marbles, but true, authentic winning is limitless!! It's also called Soul-Satisfying LivingTM!! We all fail sometimes, or possibly even more painful-- we've all had someone fail us somewhere. What does it feel like when we fail or when someone fails us? Sure, it feels rotten!! Maybe it even feels like the wind got knocked out of your sails or even a hole punched in your boat... So what do we do next? Hiding in the covers or deciding to just give up isn't a real option and just adds to the hurt, doesn't it? Somehow, we have to overcome and GET BACK UP!! Based on a true story, this movie, Pursuit of Happyness, for me, drove home the fact that feel-good fluff just isn't going make the cut in the real world... it will always fizz out at some point. You might feel good for a few, but when reality hits and challenges to anything you want to do come from different directions, it comes down to what is in your heart to pull you through--but no one has what it takes to make it 100% on their lonesome. It takes writing the right thing in your heart, God's help, developing a supportive network with outstanding people, and carving out your way along the Life Trekking TrailTM.
